Our Mission

Elevating the Next Generation of Precision Dancers

We created Precision Dance Collective out of a shared desire to give dancers a professional space to refine their technique and train with genuine purpose. Precision dance develops the spatial awareness, timing, and technical clarity that elevate performance in any style — the foundational skills that build consistency, confidence, and longevity in a professional career.

That’s why we pair rigorous technical training with direct industry access, career education, and guidance on building a sustainable life in dance. Because success in this industry is about more than what happens in the studio.

As two former Radio City Rockettes, we bring over forty years of combined professional experience — including twenty-nine seasons with the Rockettes — to every program, empowering dancers to perform with clarity, strength, and presence.

Sarah Hoge & Katie Walker, Co-Founders

PDC is a space for every dedicated dancer — regardless of body type, background, or where you are in your career. Precision is a skill — it can be learned, refined, and owned by anyone willing to do the work.

The Craft

Precision, Defined

Precision dance is the art of individual dancers trained to move as one — without disappearing. Rooted in ballet, tap, and jazz, it’s unison, not sameness — no two precision dancers are exactly alike. Precision is unity without sacrificing individuality, where each dancer’s artistry contributes to something greater than the sum of its parts.

More Than Dance Training

Built for the Full Arc of Your Career

We believe a dancer’s training extends far beyond the studio. Technique gets you in the room — but a lasting career is built on everything around it: the relationships, the business know-how, the professionalism that gets you asked back, and the habits that keep you dancing for decades. So alongside rigorous precision training — taught by Sarah and Katie themselves, not handed off to an assistant — we open our world to you.

Industry Connections

We connect dancers directly with the people we’ve worked alongside for decades — the difference between being ready and being seen:

  • Agents, casting directors, and choreographers
  • Guest faculty and working industry professionals
  • A first look at opportunities that never get posted

Professionalism & Presence

We’ve been on both sides of the callback list. The best dancer in the room isn’t always the one who gets called again — and the difference is teachable:

  • Communicating and networking with industry professionals
  • Composure, courtesy, and respect for people’s time
  • Building a reputation that travels from one room to the next

Career Education

We guide dancers through the complete professional toolkit — everything the studio never teaches:

  • Audition prep, self-tape technique, and a polished 16-bar cut
  • A résumé and dance reel across multiple genres
  • Professional headshots and a personal brand that gets you seen

Longevity & Wellness

Dancers are athletes, and a career is a marathon. Backed by certified personal-training expertise, we build the foundation to keep you dancing — and loving it — for the long haul:

  • Strength and conditioning built for dancers
  • Active recovery and injury prevention
  • Nutrition, rest, and the mental game

However you train with us — a weekend intensive, a virtual cycle, or a one-on-one session — you leave a more complete artist: sharper in your craft, clearer on your path, and ready for the room.

Katie Walker Henein - Co-Founder of Precision Dance Collective, 15-Season Radio City Rockette

Katie Walker Henein

Co-Founder · 15-Season Rockette

Katie is a choreographer and educator whose fifteen seasons as a Radio City Rockette spanned roles from swing to dance captain and assistant choreographer. She began studying ballet at age 12 at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, training with Houston Ballet, Boston Ballet, American Ballet Theater, and Kaatsbaan International Ballet, and joined Cedar Lake Contemporary Ballet in NYC after graduation.

Katie joined the Rockettes in 2008 and went on to perform at The Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, The Rockefeller Center Tree Lighting, America's Got Talent, The Annual White House Christmas Party, and The Today Show.

In 2015 and 2016, Katie helped develop, choreograph, and stage the NY Spring Spectacular and the NY Spectacular alongside Warren Carlyle and Mia Michaels. As an assistant choreographer, she helped direct and choreograph for the Tony Awards, MTV Video Music Awards, USO Partnership Performances, America's Got Talent, The Kacey Musgraves Christmas Special, and the Hallmark Channel movie "A Holiday Spectacular."

Katie has had the honor to serve as rehearsal director and assistant to Linda Haberman with The Verdon Fosse® Legacy's "Sweet Gwen Suite." She is currently a choreographer in New York City—her work was recently performed for Pace University's Commercial Dance DanceSpace Performance, BDC Professional Semester, and Steps On Broadway Industry Showcase. Katie is on faculty at Steps on Broadway and Broadway Dance Center, and is an adjunct professor at Marymount Manhattan College.
